What are office lenses?
Office lenses, also referred to as occupational lenses and computer lenses, offer two different fields of vision in the same lens. They are generally used for work and reading purposes in a home or office setting. This means that you can focus on both a mid-range distance (like reading from a computer) and a near-range distance (like reading a book) with the same pair of glasses. Office lenses are suitable for a distance of up to five feet, which is why they are great for office or home settings.
Your doctor will usually indicate on your prescription whether you need standard progressive lenses or office lenses, and will supply the ADD values for each on the script. You can fill these values in when ordering your office lenses (in our progressive lenses section) or upload your prescription via our Upload Page.
Important: Office lenses are not for distance. Driving with office lenses is not recommended.
