Do You Offer Eye Exams or Prescription Renewals?

Online vision testing is available for Contact Lens Renewals only. We do not offer online vision tests for eyeglasses, but we accept expired glasses prescriptions!

Eyeglasses & Sunglasses: Any Prescription Sheet Works!

Because eyeglasses require physical fitting measurements (like Pupillary Distance), we do not offer online testing or renewals for glasses. (Note: Our old Prescription Scanner app has been permanently discontinued).

  • No Expiration Worries: Unlike contact lenses, GlassesUSA.com accepts your existing glasses prescription sheet even if the expiration date on the paper has passed!

  • How to Order: Simply type in or upload a photo of your existing prescription sheet at checkout.

Contact Lenses: 5-Minute Online Renewal (via Visibly)

If your contact lens prescription is expired, you can renew it online through our telehealth partner, Visibly, Inc. (available in eligible U.S. states).

How Much Does the Online Test Cost?

  • Vista Plus Brand: 100% FREE!
  • All Other Brands: $16 (paid directly on Visibly’s secure platform).

How the 6-Step Renewal Process Works

  1. Place Your Order: Select your contact lenses and complete checkout on our site.
  2. Optical Review: Our team manually checks your paperwork on file to verify expiration.
  3. Receive Your Test Link: If eligible for online renewal, we will email you a unique test link (check your Spam/Promotions folder!).
  4. Take the 5-Minute Test: Complete the visual test using your phone or computer. Ensure you reach the final "Thank You" page so your test is officially submitted.
  5. Doctor Review: An independent, state-licensed eye doctor reviews your results within 24 hours.
  6. Fast Delivery: Once approved, your contact lens order enters shipping immediately!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why didn't I receive a test link immediately at checkout?

Our optical team must manually verify your order details first. Your link will be emailed shortly after checkout.

Does this replace my annual eye doctor visit?

No. This test checks visual clarity for contact lens renewals only and does not replace a comprehensive, in-person eye health exam.

Who is eligible for the test?

Online renewal is available for existing contact lens wearers in eligible U.S. states. First-time contact lens wearers must visit an eye doctor in person for an initial fitting.
